Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31 of 1965. She was initially a child model, and was praised by the press at the age of 12 due to her role in the film of Louis Malle Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her late teenage years and was a part of several dramas in the 1980s, including The Blue Lagoon (1980), and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981).In 1983, Shields quit her job as a model and enrolled at Princeton University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Romance Languages. Shields played minor roles in films as well as a return to acting in the 1990s. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), in which she was nominated to two Golden Globes. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. Shields returned to NBC in 2017 to reprise her role as a prominent recurring character in Law & Order: Special Victims Unified's 19th season. Shields portrays Beverly Goodman in Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles since 2014. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker who was born May 31, 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter of businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). According to William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields had ancestral connections with various noble families from Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi di Civitella was her paternal grandmother. She was the daughter of an American socialite and an Italian prince. Her great-uncle was Alessandro Torlonia from Italy, who was married to Infanta Beatriz of Spain. Teri's family paid Frank an amount for her to terminate her pregnancy.
